	Physical Description:	The common goldeneye is a medium-sized duck with a chunky body and a large head. The males are white with a black back and head, and a circular white spot on their face. The females, as with many birds, are of a much duller color.

	Behavior:	Common goldeneyes can be found in and around lakes, rivers, and streams. Their diet consists mostly of aquatic invertibrates, which they dive into water to catch.
	Social Organization:	These birds flock together and are often seen diving in groups.

	Kill Difficulty:	Moderate; While lacking claws and other sharp weapons even a small duck can deliver a solid enough buffet to stun or otherwise harm a cat.
