Physical Description: A medium-sized diving duck with a purplish ring around it's neck and a white ring around it's bluish bill, which has a black tip. It has a bump on the back of it's head. It is black with gray sides and a white stripe on it's shoulders.

Behavior: The Ring-necked Duck is a duck that lives on lakes and ponds, and dives often. It eats plants.
Social Organization: It is usually solitary, except during breeding and migrations.

Kill Difficulty: Moderate; A medium-sized duck that is larger than most prey items, and can give a powerful buffet with its wings.
