Approval Level*: Moderator; The Red-breasted Merganser is found in large lakes and rivers, neither of which are quite common in the Clan lands. They may land on the river, but that would be it.
Kill Difficulty: High; Being a large duck, and weighing almost 3 pounds, it is quite hard to bring down compared to some of the other ducks.
Hunting Difficulty: Specialty - Duck; It spends a lot of time on the water, requiring hunters to wait for it to come near shore to ambush it. However, it does nest on the ground, making it somewhat easier to hunt.
Food Quality: High; As a large duck, and as ducks are larger than most other prey items, it can feed many, many cats.
*Some creatures require approval to appear in RP. This is to make sure the Admins and Mods who need to know are fully aware of a species currently active in their area.
These ratings are mainly for those creatures that are uncommon or pose a threat of some sort to the cats.
