Anita had a short cinnamon pelt and creamy eggshell white chest and paws, which, for most of her life, she kept well-groomed. Her age was eventually betrayed by creaking joints, a graying muzzle, and the dullness in her greenish hazel eyes.

Anita's overbearing, captious, and possessive tendencies stemmed from her protective, maternal instincts. A hopeless romantic for the father of her first litter, she became positively dreamy-eyed when Carlos is mentioned. In the last couple of moons before she passes away from old age, her thoughts and verbal reminiscing would wander unfocusedly.

Anita was swept off her paws when she first encountered Carlos, the town's Casanova, the Don Juan of toms, and she has been deeply infatuated with him since. Though by no means faithful, as he left her to roam other places and woo other she-cats, he could do no wrong in her eyes.

Anita bore three kits in the Moon of First Green (2006); the two she-kits she named Maria Isabel and Esmeralda, and the tom-kit who bore a strong resemblance to his father she named Pablo. She reared her children in a backyard in Whitehart, and lovingly kept them close to her side at all times. Theirs was a semi-feral way of life, staying outdoors but eating kibble and such foods that were left out for them.

The mother took the departure of Pablo and Maria Isabel very hard, and clutched her remaining kit, Esmeralda, stiflingly close. Only the daughter's perceptiveness and patience for her dame's moods kept Esmer from bolting after her littermates.

A romance with a childhood friend, Biscuit, budded in the later days of Anita's life. Loneliness, perhaps, drove her to seek the tom's company. To her immense surprise, Anita found herself heavy with his kits, and gave birth to two daughters and one son, all healthy, in the Moon of Cheetah's Flight ('07). The kit who bore a strong resemblance to her sire was named Tabitha, nicknamed Tab for short. When Biscuit's owners decided to go on vacation, they took Biscuit and his three offspring to a pet vacation clinic. On the way there their vehicle got into an accident, killing all but Tab. Anita heard through the neighborhood grapevine of the car crash, and believed Biscuit and her children by him all dead.

Esmeralda cared for her graying mother from the time of littermates' departure, to Anita's last breath in the same backyard where her kits were born.
