Usage

This template is assigned on approval for all living characters (effective 13 February 2009) to help make bans lists easier to track.

Legend

Each of the fields has a SPECIFIC list of answers that are permissible. Choose the one that best applies to the character based on the description.

gender: The gender of the character, ignoring reproductive status.

Male or Female

furlength: The length of the character's fur.

Short, Mid, or Long

furcolor: The color of the character's fur.

Red, Black, Chocolate, Tortie, Cinnamon, White, or Albino

dilute: The status of the dilution of the cats fur.

No, Yes, Modified

tabby: If the character is a tabby, and what type if yes.

None, Mackerel, Classic, Spotted, Ticked, or Other

bicolor: Whether the character has white markings.

Yes or No

size: The overall size of the character in question.

Very Large, Large, Medium-large, Medium, Medium-small, Small, or Very Small

colorlimit: Used in cases where the cat is pointed.

None, Pointed, Burmese, or Tonkinese

tipped: For those cats using the silver or golden series genes.

Silver Chinchilla, Silver Shaded, Silver Smoke, Silver Tipped, Gold Chinchilla, Gold Shaded, Gold Smoke

bodytype: The build of the character in question.

Cobby, Semi-cobby, Common, Semi-foreign, or Foreign

eyecolor: The color of the character's eyes.

tail: Details about the tail of the cat in question.

Normal, Long, Short, Damaged, or Other

Odd, Blue, Aqua, Green, Lime, Yellow, Amber, Orange, Copper, Gray, or Pink

pure: Whether or not the character is a purebred cat.

Yes, Half, Quarter, Mixed, No

breed: The breed of the cat in question.

Moggie or Any purebred breed's full proper name
If a cat is half or quarter pure, include the purebreed side.
If the cat is mixed, please word is <BREED> & <BREED>, or <BREED>, <BREED>, & <BREED> using alphabetical order for the breed names.

Frequently Asked

This section is being used to clarify common questions and confusion about how to list characters information.

Capitalization

You must use the capitalization given on the options list. This means that the first letter of your option MUST be a capital. In cases where their is a hyphen, the second word is never capitalized.

Brown Tabby

It should be noted that brown tabby is the accepted term for a black based tabby cat. If your cat is a 'brown tabby' and a clan cat, the chances of it being "Brown" in the sense of this template is unlikely. if you are not sure, please consult a member of the admin team.

What is Brown & Tan

Brown is being used to indicate a cat who is genetically chocolate.

Tan is being used to indicate a cat who is genetically dilute chocolate.

Dealing With Dilute Modification

Because of the rarity and complexity of the dilute modification genes, they are not acknowledged by this template in an effort to simplify. In accordance you should list them in the charinfo template as if not dilute modified. This means:

Caramel = Black

Lilac = Brown

Dealing with Cinnamon & Fawn

In an effort to simplify, Cinnamon is to be included in 'Red', and Fawn shall be entered as 'Cream'. This is due to the visual similarities between the two genes.
